Cheers to this time of year when we thank you for all you do, every day, to advance our shared purpose to make lives better.
As we engage in our missions of education, research, patient care and community service, we continue to make an impact that is unprecedented. With our sights set on serving the needs of the people of Texas, the nation and the world, we contribute as South Texas’ largest research institution and a chief catalyst for San Antonio’s $42.4 billion-a-year biosciences and health care industry.
At the same time that we celebrate our traditions of spirit, discovery and commitment, we look forward through the lens of our new five-year strategic plan, Possibility and Promise 2023 – 2027. This multiphase and multidimensional roadmap will outline six major strategic priorities that will help us create greater value for our faculty, staff, learners, patients and community partners. Most importantly, this plan will call upon every member of our university community to work toward a set of shared priorities to meet our significant growth goals. It will indeed take all of us to achieve it.
Thank you for joining us on this critical journey – and for being the reason we gather together this Spirit Week.
